James J. Martinez was born and raised in northern New Mexico. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from University of New Mexico in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a concentration in Speech-Language Pathology.

James provides evaluation and intervention with adolescents and adults with various speech, language, cognitive and communication impairments. He has worked with students as a school-based speech-language pathologist and with adults with disabilities through a private agency. He joined Española Sports Medicine in 2019.

James and his wife Consuelo have three daughters and reside in Chimayo.
